Donald L. Knudsen, 83, of Big Timber passed away Wednesday April 11, 2018 at the Billings Clinic with his son David by his side..
Don was born September 1, 1934 in Gothenburg, NE to Norman and Geraldine (Kelly) Knudsen.
Don grew up partly on the Knudsen farm near Cozad, and was an animal lover, he always had to have some “critters” to care for.
Don was honorably discharged after nearly 12 years of service in the United States Navy, and continued serving his country in the Army National Guard and the Reserves.
Don was a jack-of-all-trades from a short order cook to Supervisor at Sandhills Industries in North Platte, NE, Village Maintenance to Head Custodian at Brady Public School, he also worked in law enforcement in Dawson, Clay and Lincoln Counties (Nebraska), and he was also an electrician.
Cremation has taken place and graveside services with military honors will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday May 25, 2018 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, NE.
