Obituary for Linda Diane Chapel McBride
Heaven has welcomed another angel. Linda Diane Chapel McBride, 70, of Townsend passed away Friday April 20, 2018 at the Broadwater Health Center in Townsend.

Linda was born February 9, 1948, to Lawrence Chapel and Judith (Mack) Chapel in Livingston, Montana.

Linda had a great love of music and played many instruments. She loved to sing in church and to her family. She played the piano by ear and could jam with the best of them. She was a song writer and writer of poems. Her love for Jesus was unwavering and gave her continued strength. She always put others first. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren teaching them about life, god, playing cards, and making them bug juice and picture albums. She loved to cook, garden, camp with family and friends, and spend time outdoors. She thoroughly enjoyed going to retirement homes singing to all. Linda came from a large family: Nevin’s, Mack’s, and Chapel’s.

She was preceded in death by her mother Judith (Mack) Bretzel. She is survived by her children Eric Saltzman of Musselshell, Kevin McBride of Conroe, TX, and Kim (McBride) Cook of Helena. Her grandchildren Hunter Saltzman, Sophia Saltzman, Devin Hoffie, Christopher McBride, Natasha McBride, Taylor McBride, Sarah (Wetzler) Effertz, Emily Francois, Sarah (Cook) Virgo, Kaitlin (Cook) Ham. Great grandchildren Tiber Effertz, Tavyn Effertz, Aubri McBride, Jackson Virgo, and Veda Virgo. Father Larry (Virginia) Chapel. Siblings Joyce (Chapel) Randles, Vicki (Chapel) McGuiness, and Larry Chapel. Nephew L.J. Kirby. Honorary grandchildren Jed and Cassie Breker.

Our mom wanted all of us to remember that words and actions can hurt those you love, so ask yourself, what would Jesus do before doing something that you can’t take back. Forgiveness is there for all who ask. Mom touched the lives of many, many people and would want us to celebrate her life instead of mourning her passing.

Special thank you to everyone at the Broadwater Health Center. She loved living there and loved the staff. Also thank you to Frontier Hospice.
