Obituary for AUSTIN WENTWORTH KING
Austin Wentworth King went to be with the Lord December 16, 2014. Austin was born on October 22, 2001, in Billings, Montana to Steven and Kaonii King. He lived on the family ranch in the Melville area with his parents and sisters, Jessie and Annika and with grandparents nearby. Austin was passionate and creative. He loved drawing cartoons and used his sense of humor to make fun of his family. He was learning to play the violin and he was a whiz kid that could solve a Rubik cube in a couple of minutes. He loved soccer, baseball and especially ski racing. After one baseball season he was invited to continue on to All-stars by three different teams but chose to go to Mount Hood, Oregon for a summer ski camp. Austin began Alpine ski racing for the USSA Northern Division Showdown Ski Team at age 6. He excelled and was one of the top racers in his age group. Austin had a gift for making friends of all ages and had a lot of special friends from other ski teams. Austin was a free range kid that loved swimming, boating, hiking, exploring, hunting and being outdoors with his sister Jessica. Whatever he took on he worked very hard at; for example, when it was time to sell popcorn for the Cub Scouts he sold over $4400.00 one fall. Austin was a very witty person and he had a comeback to everything. Austin attended the Melville School from Kindergarten into the 5th grade, and was then homeschooled so he and his sister Jessie could travel for ski racing. Austin was very loving with his little sister Annika. He called her his apprentice and taught her to be just as silly as he was. Austin will be forever loved and missed. Austin is survived by his parents, Steve and Kaonii, sisters Jessica and Annika, grandmothers Debbie Butler and Kay King, Uncles Mike (Stefanie) Horton and Bret (Susan)King, Aunt Susan (Robert) Harrick, Great-Grandparents Charles Robson, and Ruth Finley, and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Michael Horton and Floyd King and his uncle Cade Butler. Memorials in Austin's name may be made to Eagle Mount Great Falls, PO Box 2866, Great Falls, MT 59403
