Obituary for Alice Luttschwager
Alice Irene Hauge Luttschwager 58, of Billings, Montana passed away August 18, 2016 at her family home. By her side were her husband and two of her most cherished friends. On November 28th 1957, Thanksgiving Day, Alice was born to Norman and Lydia Ewan Hauge in Livingston, MT. She grew up in Big Timber where she attended Big Timber Grade School and Sweet Grass County High School.

Alice married Jim Luttschwager in 1977 and they had a son, Keith, to whom Alice was deeply dedicated. She loved being connected to and taking part in the lives of Keith and his friends all the way through their college days. Alice also had a special bond with her niece, Alison.
Alice, Keith, and Jim lived in several Montana towns including Hardin, Big Timber, Missoula (her favorite place) and Billings. She worked as a florist in Hardin and Big Timber and had a knack for floral design. She also worked at Cole Drug in Big Timber, which she particularly enjoyed as she loved to socialize with the customers. In Billings, she worked as a legal assistant at Holland and Hart until her diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. She was very dedicated to her work wherever it may have been. One way to describe her is never put off anything until tomorrow if it can be
done now.

Alice enjoyed swimming, hiking, the Montana Grizzlies and getting together with her friends. She had a knack for decorating the houses they lived in over the years, which made them really feel like home. Alice also had a love for dogs and orcas.

She is survived by her husband Jim, son Keith (Orrin Brown), sister Nita (Ron) Gullion, brother Chuck (Beth) Hauge and all of her nieces and nephews who she thoroughly enjoyed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Lydia.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday September 24th at the Big Timber Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made to the Yellowstone County Animal Shelter, BARK, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the charity of your choice.
