Beverly Elizabeth (Laird) Boyd was born May 30, 1931 to Ross W. Laird and Nancy E. (Harlan) Laird at the family home in Cozad, NE. She passed away quietly at the age of 83 at her home in Big Timber, MT on September 6, 2014. Beverly was raised in Cozad graduating from Cozad High School with the class of 1949. She then entered nurses training in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and graduated from Alliance Nursing School. She practiced nursing in NE, CO, CA, WY, and WA. She was united in marriage to Gordon Boyd at Chapel of Transfiguration in 1963 in Jackson Hole, WY. Gordon being a Park Ranger, they lived in National Parks including Yellowstone, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, CA, Olympic, WA and Lake Roosevelt Recreation Area, WA. In retirement, Beverly and Gordon lived in Port Angeles-WA, Overton-NV, and Big Timber, MT. Together they shared their love for the Lord and put Him first in their marriage. Beverly is survived by her loving husband Gordon, two brothers (Bill & John) of Cozad, NE. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Blanche Ellen. Beverly's greatest joys included visits with family and friends, her horseback trail rides and in travels from Mexico to Alaska. She maintained her spirit of adventure until she lost her battle with cancer. Memorials are suggested to be made to the Big Timber Evangelical Church for a hearing enhancement system at the church or to a recipient of your choice.
