Obituary for Betty Jean (Olin) Faw
Betty Jean (Olin) Faw passed from this life on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, at the age of 92.
Betty was born March 14, 1924, to Nels Anshelm Olin and Esther Elvira Cummings in Big Timber, MT.
Betty attended Sweet Grass County High School. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was a member of the United Evangelical Brethren.
In 1942, she married James ‘Jimmy’ Edward Faw in Park City, MT and to them were born five children; Donna (Ginger) Cox, Jane Bolzer, Nellie Vise, William Edward Faw, and Peggy (Wade)Cumin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy, brothers; Leon, Chub, and Nels, her son William Edward Faw; her daughters Donna ‘Ginger’ Cox and Jane Bolzer; grandchildren Casey and Mariah Cumin.
She is survived by her daughters Nellie Vise and Peggy (Wade) Cumin, grandchildren; Greg Bolzer, Becky (Jack) Wegner, Tammy (Tony) Farkas, Jana Vise, Tarra (Jeff) Pluhar. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Bolzer, Jaymi and Cody Wagner, Tori Vise, Celi and Ella Farkas, and Ivy Pluhar.
Cremation has taken place and graveside services were held Wednesday Sept. 14, at Mountain View Cemetery in Big Timber.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in Betty’s name be made to the Crazy Mountain Museum, PO Box 83, Big Timber, MT 59011 or the Big Timber Senior Center, PO Box 298, Big Timber, MT 59011.
