Obituary for Glenn Crandall
Glenn Crandall of McLeod, MT passed away at the age of 81 on Tuesday, December 18.
Glenn was born to Madeline (Wyffels) and Jesse Crandall of Osage, MN on July 11, 1937. He grew up on a farm with his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. After Glenn graduated from Park Rapids High School, he joined the Navy.
Glenn married Darlene Schultz on October 8, 1960. They had three children. Glenn and Darlene were best friends and soul mates; they remained together through life’s struggles and joys until Darlene’s passing in August of 1992.
Glenn worked in the die cast industry for 47 years retiring at the age of 70. He was well known for his talent at restoring old vehicles - mainly mustangs from the 60s and Model As from the 1928-1932 era. He won many awards and enjoyed talking to people about cars and going to auctions to see what treasures he could find.
Glenn is survived by his children, Rick Crandall, Debbie (Craig) Greenlee, grandchildren, Jessie Crandall, Sara (Mike) Wright, Faith (Nate) DeLay, James (Jaylee) Greenlee, great grandchildren Sophie, Raegan, Walter, Stetson, brother, Roger (Barb) Crandall, sisters, Ruth Roth, Ruby (Richard) Haluzak, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Glenn in death are his wife, Darlene, parents, Madeline and Jesse, brother, Alvie, and daughter, Rochelle.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, December 29 at the Big Timber Evangelical Church. Interment is planned for a later date at the West Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Francis, MN. Gifts in Glenn’s memory may be given to the Big Timber Evangelical Church, Hearts and Hands Hospice or a charity of your choice.
We would like to thank our family and friends who have helped in so many ways through dad’s illness. We would also like to thank our home care helpers and Hearts and Hands Hospice for their aid and encouragement and Pastor Bryan and our church family for their prayers and support.
