Obituary for Hilda Louise (Boe) Fredericks
Hilda Louise Fredericks’ life journey ended where it began in Big Timber, MT. She was born Dec 20, 1943 and passed away from heart failure Oct 26, 2021. She was 77 years young.

On Feb 12, 1965, Hilda married the love of her life, Les Fredericks, in Big Timber. In March 1966, in St. Maries, ID, Les and Hilda welcomed their twins: Kim and Ken. After moving back to Montana in 1970, they were blessed with their daughter Lorie.
Hilda was a homemaker and closet collector. It was hard for her to throw anything away. She loved to dance and listen to music. She truly enjoyed a ‘spirited’ game of pinochle—with winning being the ultimate goal.

Hilda loved her family in her own complicated way. She loved to hear about everyone’s activities. She kept in touch with many friends and family with cards, phone calls and emails. While technologically challenged, it never stopped her ‘pioneer spirit’ from engaging with a new cell phone, lap top or tablet. All of us will forever remember waking up during the holidays to the singing of, “Oh, what a beautiful morning…”. Which set the precedent in the more recent years, for the grand kids to wake her up singing it, in good natured revenge.

Hilda was preceded in death by her parents Christopher and Josie, her husband Les, her daughter Kim and her siblings: Raymond, George, Jim, Edna, Walter and Betty. She is survived by her two sisters: Cora and Sig; son: Ken Fredericks of Billings, daughter: Lorie (Art) Walsh of Castle Rock, WA; grandchildren: Korinda and Bryce Jarvis, Beau (Corrie) Fredericks, Jess and Delaney Fredericks and Riley Walsh; great-grandchildren: Adriella Ellis, Rylee and Bennett Fredericks; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family suggests memorials to Christikon Church Camp in lieu of flowers.

We say goodbye to our sister, mom, grandma, aunt, cousin and friend with a catch phrase that should sound familiar to all who knew her: “Good night, sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite. If they do, take off your shoe and beat them black and blue.”
