Obituary for Janis Lynn Redmann Fossum
Jan Fossum was born in Jamestown, ND on August 10, 1947 to Lyle and Verna (Sevik) Redmann. She was raised in Montpelier, ND until she finished the 6th grade. The family moved to San Diego, CA where she finished school and graduated from Mount Miguel High School in Spring Valley, CA. Several years later Jan moved to North Dakota where she married Ron Fossum, they moved to Montana and started a family, Jan and Ron later divorced. Jan enjoyed to travel, going to Norway for a reunion, doing missionary work in Tanzania, Africa and in Peru, South America. Besides traveling she liked reading, sewing, quilting, photography and collecting family photos. She was a devoted church goer and enjoyed worship services and bible study. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John Redmann, she is survived by her children: Clifton Fossum of Big Timber, Jason Fossum of Snohomish, WA and Chad Fossum of Big Timber, brother Pete Redmann of San Diego, CA and her sister Catherine Redmann of Lemon Grove, CA.
