Obituary for LINDA JEAN GIBSON
On October 5, 1938, William A. And Vera E. (Treloar) Gibson welcomed Linda Jean Gibson into this world. On May 7, 2014 in Big Timber, MT she departed this world to join in the heavenly party. Linda grew up and attended schools in Stockholm and Franklin, NJ. She married Chester A. Day in 1956; to this union three sons were born. They later divorced. Linda's life and careers were varied to say the least. She worked n electronics, the health field, waitressed and tended bar; all while raising and loving her three boys. She discovered Montana at the tender age of 55 and wondered what had taken her so long! She loved to bake, cook, garden, read and spend time with family and friends. She is survived by her three sons and their families; Steven (Lorraine) Day of Stockholm, NJ, Russell (Wendy) Day and children, Armanda, David and Daniel of Vernon, NJ and Randy (Jennifer) Day and children Jessica and Sean of Charmont, NY. She is also survived by her brother Robert (Carol) Gibson and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brother David, her uncle Jack Treloar and her longtime companion and friend Monte Jarrett. Cremation has taken place services will be held at a later date in New Jersey. Memorials in Linda's name may be made to Hearts and Hands Hospice, Box 1337, Big Timber, MT 59011, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or a charity of one's choice.
