An amazing, sparkling, strong woman started a new journey on December 31, 2015. Nancy Martin, 75, of Big Timber passed away at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings after a short illness. Nancy was born on October 6, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up under the care of her adoptive parents, Sally Indreland Martinez and Henry Debotts, on a ranch outside of Martinsdale. The ranch was sold years later and they lived in the Harlowton and Lewistown areas. After her divorce from Philipp, Nancy moved to Big Timber to attend to the needs of her mother. In Big Timber Nancy met and married Richard Martin. Nancy cared deeply for people and worked much of her life as a Certified Nurse's Assistant at Wheatland Memorial Hospital in Harlowton. She enjoyed horseback riding, working livestock, playing the piano, and cooking. Nancy was a strong woman who valued getting things done right, she will be deeply missed.
