Obituary for Randy R. Ronneberg
Randy Ronneberg passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the home of his brother Carl after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Randy was born on December 30, 1958 to John and Vivian Ronneberg in Big Timber. He was the youngest of six children in the family. Randy attended Big Timber Elementary School and graduated from Sweet Grass County High School. Randy was a worker in many trades. He worked as a ranch hand, worked for a fencing contractor and spent several years in construction specializing in drywall and became almost an artist with tape and trowel. Randy spent the last few years as a building maintenance engineer at the Pioneer Medical Center. Randy was perhaps best known for his enviable work ethic. He was always willing and able to help anyone needing a hand, both at work and in his off time. Randy enjoyed many outdoor activities. Perhaps his specialty and favorite activity was fishing, especially when he could outfish his nephew Alan or his brother-in-law, Jim Zabrocki. He is survived by his brothers John (Diane) and Carl (Jeanette) of Big Timber, sister Carol (Spencer) Jarrett of Miles City, brother-in-law Jim Zabrocki of Miles City, sister-in-law Bobbie Ronneberg of Toledo, Oregon and his very special friend, Sabrina Freeman and her daughter Beoncca. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Alvin and sister, Marilyn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Karla Ronneberg (Jaxon Gardiner), Karen Tuscano (Wes), Alan Ronneberg (Tracie), Anna Marie Wood (Dale), Amy Grosch (John), Justin Jarrett (Audrey) and Heather Jarrett. Randy also had a special relationship with the children of his nieces and nephews. Viewing will be from 3-9pm Monday February 10, 2014 at Stenberg Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday February 11 at the Big Timber Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Memorials in Randy's name can be directed to Hearts and Hands Hospice, Sweet Grass Health and Wellness - Cancer Alliance or to the charity of choice
