Obituary for Steve John Racz
Steve John Racz, 93, of Big Timber passed away Saturday September 23, 2017 at Pioneer Medical Center.
Steve was born December 21, 1923 in Park City to Daniel and Julia (Gance) Racz.
Over his lifetime, Steve did many things. He served for a short time in the U.S. Army; he drove truck for the Red Lodge Pea Cannery during harvest and did maintenance at the Red Lodge Café.
He moved to Big Timber to take a job as a ranch hand and caretaker for Amanda Rutledge at Whispering Pines, which he did for 17 years. When Amanda went to the nursing home, Steve retired to Big Timber where he resided until his passing.
He is survived by sister Helen Reidelbach of Livingston, half-brother Jo Sabo of Oregon City, OR, half-sister Irene Hallason of Sumner, WA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and graveside services will be held 2:00pm Saturday October 7, 2017 at Mountain View Cemetery in Big Timber.
