Obituary for Suzanne Marie 'Sue' Blackwell
Suzanne Marie Blackwell, 87, passed away at the Pioneer Medical Center on March 9th. She was born September 14th, 1927 to George and Elizabeth Senter in Livingston, MT. She attended school in Livingston graduating from Park County High School in 1945. After graduating she worked at a bank in Livingston, later moving to Seattle to work in her aunt's clothing store. She returned to Montana and married Loren Brewer in 1947. They had two children, Linda and Larry. They lived on a ranch up the West Boulder until the children started school in Big Timber. Later Suzanne and Loren divorced. In 1961 Suzanne married Kenneth Blackwell. They had one son, Robert, and lived in Melville until Kenneth passed away in 1991. While living in Big Timber, Suzanne worked for the ASCS, measuring maps. She also worked for the Sheriff's Office and did bookkeeping for the Sweet Grass County Hospital. She enjoyed gardening and was involved with the Hoe & Hope Garden club as well as the Community Garden. She also loved watching birds, listening to jazz, cooking, new shoes and popcorn. But above all she cherished every moment spent with her family. Suzanne is survived by her three children, Linda (Tom)Larson, Larry (Kelly) Brewer and Robert Blackwell along with five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her three siblings and her husband Kenneth.
