Obituary for VERONICA MARTINZ
Veronica (Jennings) Martinz, 57, of Big Timber passed away Friday August 22, 2014 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings. Veronica was born August 29, 1956 in Van Nuys, California to Richard and Mary (Way) Jennings. Following the death of her father, her mother married Jim Dennis of Malta, and the family moved from coast to coast throughout his military career, and when he was discharged they settled in Big Timber and the family purchased the City Club Lanes. Veronica attended and graduated from Sweet Grass County High School and then went on to college at MSU Bozeman where she earned her Bachelor of Education Degree, she returned to Big Timber and married Robert Martinz. Veronica was proud of her work with the city pool, community aerobics classes and her ceramic shop where she taught classes. She also worked as a cook, waitress and was a favorite nanny to numerous children in the area. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and step-father, and is survived by sisters; Dee Clark and Susie (David) Phares her brother Bill (Chris) Jennings as well as 9 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews and one on the way. "We lost a beautiful and creative artist in Veronica. May the colors of the setting sun be your new medium and the sky be your canvas. Be at peace."
