Obituary for Vivian Baird
Vivian Baird, 89, of Big Timber passed away Saturday February 20, 2016 at the Pioneer Medical Center.
Vivian was born on April 4, 1926 to Floyd and Mae Martin in Warren County, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 sisters (2 at infancy) and 2 brothers-
Virginia (Art) Nolin, Frances (Charles) Dunavan, Edith (Ernest)Kincade ,
Frank (Esther) Martin, Robert (Lois)Martin and Rosemary (Marion)Travoilia.
Vivian married John Baird in 1948 and they had two sons, David and Terry.
Vivian grew up on the family farm in Indiana. After high school, she worked at the courthouse in Warren County, Indiana. In 1970 the family moved to Chaska, MN and then on to Montana in 1972, where Vivian helped publish the Buckskin Report. Vivian also worked at the Grand and the Pioneer Nursing Home prior to her retirement.
Vivian enjoyed being outdoors working in her garden and yard. She enjoyed studying God’s word, attending church, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons Dave (Peg) and Terry (Jill) Baird, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and services were held Saturday February 27th at the Church of God.
