Obituary for W.K. 'Pat' Dotson
Pat Dotson was born Waynard Keeton Dotson in Sidney, Montana on December 3, 1931 and was one of seven children born to Paul and Gertrude Dotson. Pat died on November 25, 2017 at home after a brief illness.
Pat was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Gray Dotson. Together they travelled, hosted gourmet dinners, and brought family together. Pat is survived by his stepchildren, Pamela Boeck and Debora Boeck of Scottsdale, AZ and Jeff Boeck of Lake Oswego, OR and by his three granddaughters Olivia Humbert of Chesapeake, VA and Hannah Boeck and Elizabeth Boeck of Portland, OR.
Pat is also survived by his sisters Dona Avise of Madison, SD and Elaine Scott, Harlowton, MT as well as brothers Bug Dotson, Lapwai, ID; Elden Dotson, Vancouver, WA; Doyle Dotson, Moorhead, MN; and Gary Dotson, Plymouth, MN.
Pat’s character is perhaps best described in the words of Pat’s granddaughter Olivia, “He’s the reason that every day I want to be better.” We will remember him as a kind, loving man, who lived life without judging others.
