Obituary for Kevin McCauley
Our family is saddened to share that (Ronald) Kevin McCauley, 62, of Big Timber, passed away on July 23,2021 at Livingston Healthcare. Kevin was born in Conrad, Montana to Jim and Dixie McCauley on September 11, 1958.
He attended grade school in Columbus and Big Timber, Montana, then graduated from Sweet Grass County High School (SGHS) in 1977. Kevin excelled at sports early on from Little League baseball, then football, basketball, track, softball and golf. He attended Rocky Mountain College on an athletic scholarship.
Kevin had many occupations spanning throughout the years. One of his dreams was to coach alongside his dad, Jim; that dream was fulfilled when they coached football and track at SGHS.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Dixie McCauley. He is survived by his son, Gabriel (Gabe) McCauley; grandson, Carter Liam McCauley; brother, Mike (Ranna) McCauley; sister, Jeri Flanagan, all of Big Timber; and sister, Jamie (Rick) Ferguson of Kent, Washington. He is also survived by nieces Stephanie Abney and Larissa (Chris) Swanson, as well as nephews Cal Flanagan and Bryce Ferguson. Also surviving are numerous cousins and very special friend, Marie Cowen.
