Obituary for Jennie Marie Luttschwager
Jennie Luttschwager, 86, of Billings and formerly of Big Timber died Wednesday May 11, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Ministries.
A person’s legacy is the life enjoyed, shared and completed. The legacy of Jennie Marie Luttschwager is one bound together as a mother, a sister and a daughter.
As the daughter of Elling and Gudrun Hoiland, she faithfully learned the honest values of a Norwegian family. And, through the years, Jennie repaid their loving upbringing with her devotion to their needs.
As a sister to two brothers, Gary and Elmer, and three sisters, Adeline, Bernice and Joan, Jennie was a capable and reliable sibling. Although the concerns of such a large family could be demanding, she never waivered in her understanding and love for her brothers and sisters.
Finally, as a mother, Jennie shines as an example of pure and uncompromising love. Together with her husband, Kermit Luttschwager, she gifts to the world her four sons, Hal, Jim, Dan and Kip. By happy extension, their wives and Jennie’s grandchildren, Sharon (Hal), Alice and grandson Keith (Jim), Yvonne and granddaughter Nikole (Dan), and Stacie and grandson Karsten and granddaughter Martina (Kip), thankfully share Jennie’s honest perspective on life. Nothing bespeaks a person’s legacy more than her children. In her grateful sons can be seen the genuine and simple happiness that sprang from Jennie’s heart.
The eternal imprint of Jennie Marie Luttschwager embraces us all. To those who remain in this world after her passing, please take profound solace in her gentle, yet powerful, legacy.
